Boris Johnson Urges Support For Ukraine Amid Russian Aggression

Prime Minister Johnson has reacted to Russia's renewed assault on Ukraine, expressing confidence in Ukraine's ability to push back with the new flow of military aid. He emphasized the importance of permission to attack Russian forces massing within Russia and highlighted the significance of the $61 billion aid from America in making a difference.

Johnson suggested urgent actions to help Ukraine, such as expropriating $330 billion worth of Russian assets frozen outside Russia to pressure Putin and providing more support to imperil Putin's positions in Crimea.

Regarding delays in aid delivery by U.S. conservatives, Johnson acknowledged differing opinions within the conservative spectrum but stressed the importance of supporting Ukraine to stabilize the Euro-Atlantic area and deter further aggression from Putin.

Johnson revealed his efforts to convince former President Trump of the benefits of aiding Ukraine, citing Trump's past support for providing javelin anti-tank weapons to Ukraine. He credited Trump's role in reassuring congressional figures about the sensibility of the aid package.

When asked about whether Trump or Biden would be better on the Ukraine issue, Johnson refrained from taking sides, emphasizing the broader importance of ensuring peace and stability in the Euro-Atlantic region and sending a strong message to potential aggressors globally.
